 Announce 

Within the Days of Ukrainian Culture in Switzerland (Basel, October 17 - November 14, 2004) Chamber symphony "Parallels" (1990) by contemporary Ukrainian composer Karmella Tsepkolenko will be performed by Kammerorchester (Basel) under conductor Christoph Poppen (Munich).

 
 Announce 

ANM represents new CD ROM Self-reflection on the edge of centuries - multimedia database dedicated to the Association's activities towards the development of novel art during 1995-2004.

Information about cultural actions, festivals, concerts etc. (in total over 70), selected works from 10 editions of the festival Two Days and Two Nights of New Music and other cultural actions (10 hours of music) have been included in given CD ROM. Here you can find electronic versions of the reference book Contemporary composers of Ukraine (biographies, lists of musical works, photos and addresses) methodological book Artistic Games, where original approach to the creative education of person is proposed.

The release of this CD ROM is a part of the project European Novel Art supported by grant from the European Cultural Foundation (Amsterdam, The Netherlands).

 
 Premiere 

Opera Dorian's Fate by Odessa composer Karmella Tsepkolenko was premiered on June 11, 2004 in the Zaporizhzhya Regional Ukrainian V.G.Magara Musical-Drama Theater. Opera was composed in 1989 and it first premiere was realized in 1990 by Opera Studio at Kiev Conservatory with the participation of National ensemble of soloists Kyiv Kamerata (conductor V.Sirenko). This year premiere was timed to the opening of Small Stage of the Zaporizhzhya theatre. Director of the Theatre is Honored Art Worker of Ukraine Valentin Slonov, conductor - Alexander Surzhenko.

 
 Concert 

On June 4, 2004 the piano recital by Oleksandr Perepelytsya junior - Laureate of the International Competition, 3rd year student of Odessa State A.V.Nezhdanova Music Academy (piano class of Professor V.Ya.Dashkovsky) - took place in the Golden hall of Odessa Literary museum (Odessa, Lanzheronivska Street 2). | more ››› |

 
 Festival 

On April 23-25, 2004 was held 10th anniversary edition of the Festival 2D2N.

Approximately 100 works were performed, including nearly 20 World premieres by Ukrainian and foreign composers. Before the Festival concerts as a festival prelude were organized. The International Conference for Art Managers, MICs representatives and Festival Directors was held at the same time (this action has been supported by the grant from the European Cultural Foundation (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). | more ››› |

 
 Conference 

The International Forum of Novel Art - Conference (round-table) of Art Managers, MICs Representatives and Festival Directors was held in Odessa (April 21-25, 2004). Representatives from ten countries: Armenia, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Tatarstan and Ukraine were the key participants of this Forum. | more ››› |

 
 Seminar 

ANM organized and held the seminar State and Perspectives on the Development of Management in the Sphere Of Culture on March 9, 2004 (Odessa Literary Museum, Lanzheronivska Str.2)

The Odessa participants included managers and teachers from institutions providing arts management education, representatives of educational cultural institutions and producing companies that offer management services for cultural projects. | more ››› |

 
 Premiere 

In 2002 Ministry of Culture of France commissioned work by Karmella Tsepkolenko for ensemble 2е2m: New piece Cabin for eight was premiered by: Pierre-Simon Chevry - flute; Veronique Fevre - clarinet; Pierre-Stephane Meuge - saxophone; Alain Huteau - percussion; Martine Joste - piano; Richard Schmoucler - violin; Claire Merlet - alt; David Simpson - cello; conductor Paul Mefano. Performance took place on January 12, 2004 in Paris concert hall Le Trianon.

The Association New Music/ANM was founded as an independent non-governmental organization in Odessa (Ukraine) in 1995.

The ANM activity is aimed at the development of New Music in Ukraine.

The principal task of the ANM activity is the thorough support of composers, musicians, musicologists, and all artists involved in innovative trends of contemporary music, performing and multimedia arts.

The ANM organizes and holds various artistic events and cultural actions (festivals, conferences, master-classes); realizes AV recordings, releases CDs and CD ROMs, publishes scores etc.
